How to Create Content for Weeks in Just 2 Hours

Tayo and Tiwa reached out to me because they were hosting a fitness event and needed social media content. They were excited about the event but a bit overwhelmed with the idea of creating enough engaging content to keep their audience interested for weeks.

The Initial Call

First, we jumped on a Zoom call. This was a great chance for me to understand their expectations and answer any questions they had. I wanted to ensure we were all on the same page before diving into the creative process. We discussed their brand voice, target audience, and the types of content they wanted to create, from dynamic action shots to engaging behind-the-scenes moments. The 30-minute call was enough for us to agree on a plan for the day.

Setting the Scene

A few days later, I sent them the mood board for approval. It’s a crucial step that helps everyone involved feel aligned and excited about the project.

The photoshoot took place on Saturday at Shape Smith, Clapham Junction. I had scouted this location beforehand, so I knew what lighting conditions to expect. The venue had a great vibe and atmosphere that would perfectly complement the energy of the fitness event.

Capturing the Action

Forty-five minutes later, the event started, and the energy in the room was amazing. From enthusiastic participants to engaging instructors, there was so much happening! I made sure to capture a variety of shots—action shots of the workouts, candid moments of laughter, and even some posed group photos.

Everything went smoothly, thanks to our detailed plan. However, I always like to leave a little room for the unexpected. Whether it’s a spontaneous group cheer or an impromptu dance-off, these moments often turn out to be the highlights!

The Result

After two hours of shooting, I had created enough content to last for several weeks, depending on their content calendar. This included a mix of photos and videos that they could use across different platforms, from Instagram stories to Facebook posts.

Within 48 hours, a link to WeTransfer appeared in Tayo’s inbox—photos ready to schedule for posting. They were thrilled with the results and started planning their content calendar around the new material.

Why Content Creation Plan Works

You might wonder how it’s possible to generate so much content in such a short time. The key lies in preparation and strategy. By having a clear plan and understanding the goals of the shoot, we can maximise our time and creativity.

This approach not only saves time but also ensures that the content aligns with the brand’s message and resonates with the audience. Plus, it leaves room for spontaneity, which often leads to the best shots!

Final Thoughts

Creating content doesn’t have to be a daunting task. With the right planning and a bit of creativity, you can produce high-quality material that keeps your audience engaged for weeks. If you’re looking to streamline your content creation process, feel free to reach out. I’d love to help you capture your next big event!
